Ok so I thought I would share some examples of the outfits and items I’ve managed to nab for crazy prices (or free). Or I found a limited edition version, or a one-off, or something unique and different.
Because good style and fab outfits aren’t judged on how much it costs - but how it makes you FEEL.
It’s why you can walk into a store and instantly want what the sales assistant is wearing - because she’s wearing something which suits her, feels like her, represents who she is… and you can tell because she is confident, comfortable and at ease in herself.
Anyway, back to the outfit
THE DETAILS
Sheer Chiffon Dress: Free (gifted from a friend when she was clearing out her wardrobe)
Rope Belt: $10 Rope from Spotlight
Suede Bag: $5 (was $49) On sale from Adorne at one of their closing down sales
Leather Sandals: $20 (was $150) from DFO at the end of March so all summer items were heavily discounted.
Sunnies: Sacha Drake (full price)
This outfits makes me feel feminine and pretty and soft and sweet. I’ve worn it to an afternoon BBQ, a brunch and to meet a friend for a coffee.
It’s comfy, makes me feel beautiful and I love that I can adapt it to be a winter option (add leather jacket and ankle boots) or summer.
Nothing is worth spending money on though - IF YOU DON’T ACTUALLY NEED THE ITEM ANYWAY. No matter how big the discount… or even if it’s free.
So I have a shopping list in my phone on the notes app where I write down all the things I need, or am thinking about. This means when I’m in the stores, I can refer back to that first - so I won’t get distracted by all the sparkly sequiny things LOL.
