We're seeking to appoint a part-time Senior Retail Sales Assistant in a permanent position starting 16th January 2016. (Casual work available prior to this date if successful applicant is available)

The Role:
The successful applicant will have a background in the retail industry with a passion for Camping, Fishing and the outdoors. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Give exceptional customer service
• Answering & assisting with product inquiries
• Maintain broad and in-depth knowledge of products in our camping, fishing, sporting and pool shop departments
• Taking and processing sales orders
• Resolving orders / delivery inquiries
• Receiving stock, replenishing, exceptional merchandising displays and stock control
• Following up customer queries and liaising with other members of the team to ensure that an excellent level of customer service is maintained
• Responsible for opening and closing the store when required
• Supervising junior sales assistants, assigning and creating tasks
• General office administrative duties

Key Skills and Attributes:
The successful applicant will have the following:
• Previous retail experience in a senior position or the enthusiasm and drive to learn
• Creative merchandising skills A MUST – you will be in charge of merchandising stock and setting up promotional displays to a high standard
• Competent computer skills, training will be given to use our Accounting and POS system
• Weekend availability a must (Saturday Morning shift) and flexibility to take on more shifts during peak sales (especially during school holidays) and when other staff are on annual leave
• Strong organizational and time management skills, MUST have a neat and tidy work ethic
• Ability to use own initiative
• Ability to work unsupervised, multi task & work under pressure
• Must be honest, reliable, flexible, energetic and have positive outlook on life
• Willing to absorb and learn everything about our product range to give our customers the best product knowledge

Remuneration is in line with the ARL (QLD) Enterprise Agreement and staff have the advantage of our exclusive staff discounts on products across the entire range allowing you to work and play!
Hours of work are on a roster from Monday to Friday, and alternating Saturday 8:30am to 12:30pm.
